Swindon Town supporters have voiced their dissatisfaction with the ownership of the football club, according to the results of a recent anonymous survey conducted by TrustSTFC. After the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, the survey gathered opinions from just under 1,200 fans, a notable decrease from the over 2,000 responses collected two years prior. The survey assessed various aspects of the club, including the performance of the men's and women's teams, matchday experiences, and overall satisfaction with the club's leadership. The findings revealed that the women's team received the highest satisfaction score of 4.09 out of five, while confidence in the leadership scored significantly lower at 1.91 for Trust members and 2.11 for non-members. This stark contrast highlights a growing concern among fans regarding the club's management and direction. Many supporters expressed their feelings in qualitative responses, with 43.4% discussing their trust in leadership and 39% commenting on football performance. One fan lamented their dwindling connection to Swindon Town, stating they no longer trust the ownership group with their financial support. In response to the survey, club representative Anthony Hall mentioned that a meeting with TrustSTFC was scheduled to discuss the results further. The Trust's summary emphasized ongoing issues with financial sustainability and strategic direction, suggesting that many fans believe a change in leadership may be necessary if improvements are not seen soon.
