Swindon Town have had a busy summer in the transfer market, completing deals to get the squad ready to challenge for promotion from League Two. Ian Holloway is looking to iron out the wrinkles in the squad from last season's frustrating campaign.

What's happened so far?

Swindon Town signed Matty Virtue from Fleetwood Town on June 29. Virtue could be a smart bit of business by Swindon, having contributed to 19 goals over the course of the last two seasons.

New signings

The 29-year-old is a very hard-working player who fits Holloway's pressing style perfectly. On June 23, Swindon Town brought in Stephan Negru from Oxford United. Negru is a natural defender and will add force and leadership to a backline which struggled last term.

Departures

Darren Oldaker left Swindon Town for Southend United on June 18. Oldaker faded in the second half of the season as Swindon's football no longer suited the technical midfielder.
