Swindon Town have unveiled their new away shirt for the 2026/27 season, drawing inspiration from Inter Milan’s iconic blue and black stripes. The kit will debut in their home friendly against Leyton Orient on July 28, with sales starting July 25 at the club shop. Priced at £55 for adults and £40 for children, the design revisits a classic look last seen in the 2013/14 season, when players like Alex Pritchard and Massimo Luongo wore it. The club finished 9th in League Two last season with 75 points (22W-9D-15L), ending 12 points behind leaders Bromley.

What’s new in the design?

The shirt features bold blue and black stripes, a nod to Inter Milan’s legendary style. Sponsored by local firm Roberts and Prowse, it marks a shift from the previous partnership with MiPermit. This season, each of Swindon’s three kits will have different sponsors, adding variety to their merchandise lineup. The design harks back to the 1997/98 and 1998/99 seasons, when the club was in the second tier, with players like Chris Hay and Iffy Onuora donning the stripes.

When can fans get the shirt?

Fans can purchase the new away kit from July 25, ahead of the Leyton Orient friendly on July 28. The club shop will be open during the Bristol City match, offering supporters an early chance to buy. Pricing remains unchanged from last season, with adult sizes at £55 and children’s at £40. The shirt’s release follows the announcement of their retro home kit, completing the 2026/27 lineup.

Why the Inter Milan inspiration?

Swindon Town have a history with this design, having worn it in the 2013/14 season and the late 1990s. The blue and black stripes are a fan favorite, evoking memories of past campaigns. Last season, the team scored 70 goals and conceded 59, finishing with a +11 goal difference. Their recent form saw four consecutive losses (LLLLD), including a 1-2 defeat to Chesterfield on May 2, 2026. The new kit aims to bring fresh energy as they prepare for the upcoming season.
